(ROTTERDAM) – The FEI has approved the dates for the FEI European Dressage Championships and the CHIO Rotterdam 2011. The European Championships, which will be held in Rotterdam in 2011, will take place from 18th to 21st August. The yearly event CHIO Rotterdam which will take place for the 63rd time in 2011, is scheduled from 25th to 28th August, the week after the EC. The CHIO Rotterdam will last for four days in 2011.
By organizing the CHIO Rotterdam after the EC Dressage in August, the OC can efficiently realize their plans and preparations, such as a capacity expansion for the spectators.
The European Dressage Championships will attract the best European dressage combinations to Rotterdam. The event is also a platform for the dressage community to bring the equestrian sport to the attention of the society. This will be done by courses, workshops etc. which will take place before and during the Championships. The event is realized by a close cooperation between the Royal Dutch Equestrian Federation, Rotterdam Community, Rotterdam Topsport and the CHIO Rotterdam.
The CHIO The CHIO Rotterdam presents top entertainment and a varied equestrian programme with show jumping and dressage sport on international top level. The international equestrian classes will be alternated with shows and national classes. The 62nd edition of the CHIO will take place from 15th to 20th June 2010 at the atmospheric location in the Kralingse Bos in Rotterdam.
